![]() The purpose of the Vedalken AEthermage is to fetch up a Cephalid Illusionist. The Simian Spirit Guide gives me that third mana if I need it. The Steelshaper's Gift allows me to get a Shuko if I need it. I wanted to give myself a couple options in case I didn't get my god hand. When I put this deck together my main focus was first turn ratio. The combo works like this, you play the Cephalid, play Shuko, and than keep equipping the Wizard, soon you're entire library will be in the graveyard, you'll have a load of Narcomoebas in play, and you can flash back Dread Return to kill with Stalking Vengeance! But coupled with Gaea's Blessing and you have yourself a pretty good set up. The Combo Alright to do this deck we are going to need a combo. What better combo than Cephalid Illusionist and Shuko. And I know for a fact that somewhere in our magic playing life each and everyone of us has wanted to, and even pulled off, a first turn kill. Although consistancy is a problem when the bell tolls and you get that god hand I don't care how long you have been playing magic, you feel, okay I'll say it, like a little kid again. Almost every magic player will raise an eye to a one turn kill deck. Well the idea of this deck stems from the hearts of all magic players young and old. Things just haven't been the same since! I think my ol' lady hates me now.
